Jordy Stanley (born October 23, 1977) is, indisputably, the Spanish ‘Starchild’ par excellence. Not only for his voice, with a timbre very similar to that of his namesake Paul Stanley, but also for having formed the KISS tribute band, for now, the longest running in the Spanish state and among the most promising in Europe. Language and Literature teacher, historian and freak in general, he has different academic and informative works. His latest book, Conan throughout the Films (PanoArtBooks, 2022) has sold out of both editions. Among the highlights of his discography, we can find Henry Dark (2009), from his previous band, HENRY DARK, and the brand new EP, Naked (2023), where he pays tribute to KISS in a very particular way.
Our ‘Starchild’ has been on stage, in one way or another, since he was 15 years old, both on voice and guitar. In recent years and after passing through numerous groups, he has dedicated himself to paying tribute to KISS, the band of his dreams, in addition to participating as a substitute vocalist wherever his high-pitched vocal tones have been required. Now, apart from playing in KISS of DEATH, Jordy walks through more intimate venues, armed only with his acoustic guitar and his ‘Gato Negro’ strings, a brand that sponsors him. It offers a close, acoustic show of the North American band KISS, covering the songs in a very personal way. This passion for KISS and his ‘alter ego’ has led him to create the only European tribute to Paul Stanley: KISS the Night. A tribute to his icon, where the band emulates the show from the “Live to Win Tour”.
Another of his many facets is that of content creaton on YouTube and editor of the music portal Satan Arise, where he gives free rein to his musical knowledge and gives us videos and streamings.
